Prior to the millennium a person must be really hardcore enthusiast or rich to have his/her own dark room or having privilege to be given private access to develop their photos. Whereas for now, pictures can be easily download into and out(hacked) of someone's PC/MAC/mobile/cell/phone.
How to stop it? Can't, it's just part of technology advancement that affects social evolution. Maybe reduce but cannot be stop. I see a trend that the porn industry may suffer revenue loss like the music and movies did because these stuff are available for free.
