Recycling with effort.

Hmmm, will keep this short. The last 4 paragraphs were deleted due to "over length of breath" sentences. I collected recyclable material in the rented house I stay. Plastics, glass and newspaper except aluminium, which is stupid of me because they cost the most!

Surprisingly, for the sale of glassware to local recycling center only reward five cents and they round down the total weight. In total of 44 kg only gets RM2.20. I was at loss. No wonder people just throw away glassware instead of sending it to recycling centers because it was totally heavily inconvenient, utterly worthless, a waste of time, energy and petrol.

From this day onwards, to hell with glassware and say yes to recycling plastics and aluminium. They pay RM1.80 per kg for aluminium.

Weirder Coincidence.

I was rereading one of my past posting - Tuesday morning Ipoh. The inset picture caught my attention.

A year ago, I celebrated her birthday and the restaurant came with this as an new alternative to plain ole birthday cake. Guess what? This year it got weirder. See picture..

Instead of a custard with 1 candle dining in a vicinity of a posh vietnamese restaurant, MondayBluer got an upgrade. A pancake slightly lace with condensed milk, litted with not one but THREE fat non-birthday-like candles. Each symbolized three from not so fat to quite fat scuba diving buddies.

Best of all, she dined within the vicinity of Wayan Restaurant, Tulamben Bali.

Her birthday gift from me (trip). However, the celebration was not my idea and the cake was not from Sao Nam either.

Balut eating

Back in March 2004, I made my maiden voyage to the land where pinoys are pinoys, Philippines. In fact it was a totally unplanned trip with no accomodation booking. Just a bold not so young man, caught a flight by redeeming his fly points from the national ailing air carrier of Malaysia.

Prior to the trip, we have been friends through a Java development project and I came into understanding relationships with three filipinos. They were kind enough to saviour back gifts from their homeland. In fact due to acquired knowledge from AXN fear factor, I got Alan to get me a few 'balut', check out wikipedia - balut. They provide in-depth information on this cooked / fertilized duck eggies.

Now here was a demonstration of eating a balut, by me. See the phone also damn old can prove the year roughly when this pictures were taken.

Step1
Step2
Step3 & 4

In order to enhance flavour, some suggested salt with vinegar. However, I recommend salt and sesame seed oil. Bon appetite people! Oh, it has been more than 18 months since I had my last balut.

Random Saturday Thoughts

Survived my Bali diving trip. Got into a bit of trouble with current during the dive in Crystal Bay. Anyway, not going to bore those (not that there are many)non-diving readers of this blog.

A normal weekend Saturday that started right after the stroke of midnight. MondayBluer was indulge into her Friday evening activity of 'land' swimming. I was trying to very hard focus on a particular project though not much of success failing miserably to many random thoughts of things happening or going to happen around me.

In fact less than 12 hours ago, I really took the effort in updating my Friendster account. Although for months since Dec 2005, I felt it was a daunting task to upkeep another profile site about me even that many of the friends even MondayBluer has a loyal contribution to Friendster. Go check it out: Choon Ee Friendster.

Prior to my Bali diving trip, I was in Redang Island, refining my bouyancy skills. Once back in KL, I indulge myself in a Nintendo DS Lite BLACK! Yes, all black and finger smudgeable Nintendo DS Lite. Since then it was no turning back and more gadgets are coming in, until the final bling charcoal. Ahem, very expensive la and I still cannot buy the idea of the value for the charcoal itself equivalent to a 47-inch plasma TV. Look I am a normal guy who thinks normal guy thinks, therefore, it requires paradigm shift.

Prior to my Redang diving trip, I got my license in July at Perhentian Island. Yes every month from July, I went diving including October.

At the beginning of this entry, I mentioned my failure in focusing on one thing at a time. Here is a short ambigous list of barang I am messing around;
1) Iranian Pipe project
2) QNetwork project.
3) Wedding / Marriage nitty gritties Project
4) AJAX + Joomla + Java refresher Study
5) Sharkey1 & 2 Project
6) MikeTan & JoeWong metal banger project
7) LKIM Project
8) Ladybird Project
9) YK Project
10) TV in Rented Home Project
11) IRICH Tax filing Project
12) Boshuko do for free Project

I believe by categorizing into projects or study is easier to identify. Now I feel much better, however, I must let you know I'll update this list from time to time. In particular this entry.

Oh well concentration lost, guess I'll end it here. If free, check out friendster. Not like you don't know about it right?
