The Mac Mini
Currently me, an Intel user on Windows XP. There is nothing fancy but nothign beats DIY experience with Intel based IBM PC/Clones in which we rarely do that(DIY) with a MAC. I guess the generation now doesn't want to be thrilled by all these technical aspect of DIY PCs. It's too much of a hassle or they just couldn't be bothered about it so much because this technical tasks can be easily outsource.
The question is why a Mac Mini? One reason is becoz a PowerMac is too expensive for a 'ciku' like me. Second reason, Mac has the best graphics and video editing utilities which I need for my hobby. Yes my video editting hobby in which I have invested in heavily. Third reason, it's so cool. You can plugin your old monitor and yet have the cool suave smooth graphic animation as you place your mouse over an icon.
I do not see an immediate urgency of having one. I can still live life without one and I can still do video with my current personal computer. I guess, I can term that as "nice to have" item. Hopefully, some generous soul out there would give it to me as a birthday or christmas present. I would be most delighted and appreciate. Otherwise, I would just leave it as it is until if I totally want to devote my career as an artistic talentic.
Bottomline is Mac Mini is something cool, value-4-money buy, hobby related and I want ... for FREE!!
The world is watching us.
Yesterday (last Monday), Malaysia was once again in the media. Not because of F1, but something much stronger. A 8.2 magnitude earthquake shook under the seabed of Sumatra. As I am watching CNN, somehow their map showing where the quake occured includes Malaysia. However, nothing were mentioned about Malaysia. Fear of tsunami, all those previously affected countries were put on high alert. From the map, I saw how Sumatra has shield us from the dangerous after shocks and thankful of how lucky we were.
Now my point is, news networks are very effective in bringing peoples' attention to specific countries. I wonder if there is anyone in the world who has no idea where to go for holiday, so happen to walk pass a window display of televisions and coincidentally showing the map I just saw indirectly planted the thought, "Hey! What about Malaysia? It's safe at the same time near the epicenter of danger."

Wake up in the past.
It doesn't matter if it's 1,2,3 or even 8 years in the past, but would I use the advantage and change for the better?
If we do make the changes and prescribe different decisions, would our present 2005 conscience be advantagous anymore? If we decide otherwise and take a different course of action, we would not be able to know what we knew about to happen because we know it will not occur at all!
Remember John Titor? Impossible.

A home.
I have been living away from my home since 1995. Ten years. I left home since 10 years ago. A quote from
And now at this moment I missed it. It's not the house or the people in it. The thing that matters was the time spent doing something fun, with comfort and safety or was it the memories that make a home more worthwhile.

The stylo flip-o phone.
Anyway, I wanted a flip phone but they come in different range of prices fr. RM888 to the most super RM2888 (SE P910). I have a rule of not purchasing any mobile phone above RM1,000.00 becoz I don't believe in paying so much. My very first preference was the new Panasonic X700(RM1560) a cool flipper pre-loaded with Symbian OSv.7. This model was totally delayed for like 1Q & price dropped within 2 weeks after release. Sluggish and bad review. Most of all, it's becoz of Panasonic's very 1st Symbian OS phone. Nokia 6260 scrapped becoz an old school friend of mine has it and I decided not to pursue because;
1) It's Nokia
2) Bad OS
3) Quite a big flip-o-phone
My previous considered almost flip-o-phone was the Nokia 8110 (The Matrix I Banana phono). Bought it 2nd hand and it was really cool until that stupid slider's copper contact failed. The most expensive phone I ever bought was the Nokia 7250 and it wasn't for me. It was a gift to mondaybluer.
In conclusion, I would spend only less than RM500 for a 2nd hand flip-o-phone because I may only use it for parties and clubs to do what the tan cina bloke did in my 1st paragraph. No point to pay too much for a new mobile phone or just a mobile phone.

The UNIX timestamp.
Now from here, I asked when will 2,222,222,222 or 3,333,333,333 or the next 11,111,111,111. And yes by 11,111,111,111 I am very decomposed then. Check out Unix time conversion . Cool.

Is routine good?
Each week, I notice I have developed a routine or a habit of certain activity. For instance bloggin at Starbuck KLIA. Sometimes from this routine, I can recognise patterns. Patterns like, in alternate weeks, Monday morning flights will alternate between main and satelite departure halls. Strange.
However, when this routine is broken, I feel unsecure. Moreover, I tend to seek other routine to compensate this feeling. This incur change and change is painful at times.
Therefore if routine gives security I believe it's good then. The pain of change is bad then. Here are some phrase to remember;
1) routine change vs change routine.
2) bad painful change vs good routine security.
Bottom line, puny humans like me must be flexible to change but understand the comfort of routine. Without routine's help, you may not establish an identity of your own. However without change, you may not establish a good routine. Yes!! I am an evolved caveman.
Good morning everyone.

iPod, iRiver, Zen Micro for me?
Last week as I browsed through flickr.com group photo set of “what’s in your bag?”. Now that got me interested in looking into someone’s bag or purse. Yes, I have to be that curious. Anyhow, I noticed many people own a mobile music player such as iPods, iRivers or Creative Zen. For my lifestyle application of musical MP3 jukeboxes are at shopping malls, garden or parks, in a plane and airport.
My current job posting requires me to weekly commute 7 hours by plane. Yes it would be nice to have an iPod to take away the dreaded hours of waiting. However, I don’t foresee anymore traveling after this assignment, unless a migration to a different country. But I may dwell into that in later blog entry.
History was I am a proud owner of a Sharp MT831-J MD Player. Used it for 12 months and life was so cool then. Since I was back in KL it is no longer an applicable tool to take my boredom away. Recording takes as long as the duration of the song which was troublesome and time wasting. In the end, my faithful MD player was abandoned. It was RM800 in year 2000.
Bottom line is I would like to spend my money on my car stereo than a personal music jukebox. Unless the unit serves 2 or more purposes, I may consider if the price is right.
Ok a big NO to iPod, iRiver or Zen.

To buy or not to buy, that was the question
I want toys. Big boy electronic toys. I want so many of these things but the little voice inside refrains myself in over indulgence.
They are affordable but just difficult to decide especially after weighing the pro and cons for my lifestyle. I have money but not a very big savings account which bothers me. Where did all my money go?
Anyhow, here in myblog I shall write me thoughts on the items I wanted to buy with consideration on its application for me. In addition, a brief flashback of their similar predecessors I once owned. Hopefully it will contribute to MY future references. Probably 5 years from now I might say I was dumb or wise to my decision to buy or not to buy. Hopefully this blog will still be around in the next 5 years or so.
Anyway, the following would be my blog topics in couple of weeks to come;
1) iPod, iRiver, Zen Micro for me?
2) The stylo flip-o phone, X700 and Nokia 6260.
3) HP's iPaq 6365 and XDAs.
4) Mac Mini

Cheating Closer
I decided not sleeep again but decided to watch a movie called Closer. The dialogue was exceptionally brutal coupled with blunt honesty. Storyline visit IMDB.COM. Cheat, was all about cheating couples. And my my my, Natalie Portman has grown! Ouch!.
I certainly have cheated on relationships twice and not very proud of that. Two moral elements honesty and bravery from this movie. If a person cheats, the last dignity a cheater has is to confront and tell the truth. That is the hardest thing but sadly it happens. Why not admit it? They call a liar's a cheat but actually a cheat's a cowardly liar. Can two cheat together be truthful? Will the past deception haunts the present and future?
Having understand and know the facts. I shall not cheat unless I am prepared to tell the truth. Will you? Gosh!!! I hate this movie no matter how good it is because it made me think and tore myself into 4 sections. Damn now I am thinking of Happy Tree Friends.
Oh well Have nice day.

Little thing she does
Due to genetic defects or mutation, my eyes can disappear whenever I smile too broadly.
Anyway, woke up this morning to catch my morning flight as usual. Went to the bathroom and stared at myself in the mirror and something caught my attention. I noticed that mondaybluer has been doing gardening in the toilet last week. Its not very often that I would stand back and have a thought of what she has done but this was different. Somehow, these little things that she does in my room(in which I noticed) tends make me have this morning smile or grin of how wonderful she can be at times. A hug, a kiss and a gentle touch makes a difference.
Gardening as in removing the growing point of this plant ("Chuen Wan Choke" or Luck Twisting Bamboo) and replanting it separately. See picture.

Read weblog and instant messaging
Anyway, my focus is regarding the anoy.., anoymity....damn i am struggling with spelling this word....arghhh god bless google, long live google, which comes in very handy,..... ANONYMITY, YES!
My reason for writing was regarding the anonymity of the writers in bLOgs. It had became really apparent that, the very person who author these may be someone you or me have brush shoulders with in public. Taking in account the close proximity of places and location the writer has been, it can be likely so. He or she could be the fat bastard that sat at Starbucks or nearby free wifi hotspots, typing away their fantasies. Perhaps, it may be possible the person is very very slutty but possess dark negative thoughts and its your neighbour's daughter. Ouch..
But nothing beats Happy Tree Friends. They really make my balls shrink as they acted in pain with blood squirting and bones jolting after being disembodied from terrible destructive plots.
Instant Messaging - ICQ. I realize I am about to pass over to another decade of my life. The 3rd to be precise. And my ICQ list after 2 years offline and now back on, is basically empty! Almost all the ICQ friends I knew personally, are no longer online there. Somehow, I felt lonely at that point. Its like the whole world moved on and me rolling back into memory lane for a peak. Nevertheless, there are a few friends still around I saw - Gene, PorkChop, Aloon and Leng.

To day and to night.
Woke up late and got to work after lunch. Its unethical but I cannot help it due to the night. Did a bit of work amazingly. However, whats more amazing was a colleague whom I introduce blog by this girl (JJ) and boy(B). In return he showed me blogs he found. Even more amazing was the time I spent reading 3 blogs. Moreover, some weblogs have chinese characters and it came to my realization the power of babelfish. HappyTreeFriends also brightened up my very day with Limpy chopping of its own leg. Oouch! Official mail sent and off to dinner. The day went so fast. Actually it was 4 hours only.
Night.
Dinner. Home, blog and waiting for my auction item to reach expected price. Then follow by some scoping work for a client of mine. Hopefully I have some time to watch TVB Net Deception. The characters are getting more and more interesting. Despite their technical details in the script lack an enourmous amount of intelligence, but the characters are building in every episode. The problem I get up late is because I am always sleeping early mornings due to the cliffhangers in all these TVB shows. Therefore, I shall stop here and let the day repeat itself tomorrow.
Thank you for reading.

Young dies, tragic.
Everytime and every point in time, there is a chapter in our live that involves death. Death at old age is a blesssing but a young death is a tragic. I have not met up with (deadmate) since my parting with exlover.
Don't know how to react or ask but just a short silent prayer to wish (deadmate) soul rest peacefully.
