False attention.

There is always a moment in me when I question if a person is really listening. Hear but is it listening. Listening but is it understanding. Understanding but does it mean anything?

Decades of evolution in many different languages, yet it takes effort and energy to have effective communication. Communication itself is simple like chit chatting or greeting dialogue. Effective communication, some might say as compassionate listening and speech, only happens when both parties are really relating to one another in speech under relevant context or scope.

I am sensitive when someone gives me false attention or vice versa. It is disappointing when a false attention appear real, later to know that no communication happen. Time wasted too. For example, imagine you explained a situation or event to a friend with date, time and venue. Reaffirmation after reaffirmation, this friend repeatly ask you the same question of when, where and worst, what event.

At this juncture, then comes the moment as mentioned at the beginning of this entry. Is it that the fucker listening with intend to understand or just pretending to give attention for the sake of it? Otherwise can it be an ineffectiveness of myself in conveying the message to that fucker? Now whose the fucker here? Talking is easy, communicatiing is not so easy and effective communication is fucking hard! from my stand point. What about you?

Counting days.

This is another impromtu plus an update entry into a long unupdated blog of mine. Given the recent unemployment and freelancing work I have been doing, I found myself unable to contain my habit of counting days to certain event, anniversaries and even incidents. The rest of this entry I dedicate to those who had known me and who will know me.

Coming September 14th, 2006 I will be revisiting Bali. It was last year, I visited that fascinating island of exotic offerings. It was my first trip to Bali Denpasar 20th to 23rd April 2005. Good food & cheap accomodation. However, exactly 161 days after my departure, the famous tourist places got bombed at Jimbaran and Kuta.

This time's trip, will be going to Tulamben and another island near by for SCUBA diving. It would be exciting because I am doing this with MondayBluer. Common interest wor to make our relationship more common, i think.

In fact it will be exactly 5 years since my last visit to Australia. Remembering the night I departed to Melbourne then followed a connecting flight to Sydney.

Anyway, Bali here I come, Bintang Beer here I come too. Yeh! Oh must get international license...must.
