A weekend back home

It was a slow and steady ride home to Ipoh. This is a city where the naive me grew up in. Throughout the years school friends left but some remain and sprouted babies. Last weekend the second wedding event I attended for this year. Dinner's food was great despite having to cramp 10 big guys into a small table and the ever prosperous noise generated from local Ipoh crowd. Kok Thai Restaurant in Ipoh Garden East was the venue with good food. Somehow I have a theory that good food and beverage has to depend very much on Feng Shui. However I will leave this topic for my next blog, ya?

Spend the whole Saturday in Ipoh and has mastered a higher level of tolerance to my mom’s nagging power. “B! Climb up here and clean the fan”. “B! Fetch me to aunty so and so later this afternoon”. “B! Help me put this up there”. “B! Help me take this out”.

“B! Go do this do that”. I guess from this, I can sum up that the old folks back in Ipoh miss me or perhaps just a young ‘chi’ to fix stuff around. After I gave up smoking I find that it’s more comfortable staying in house rather than trying to sneak out to get a puff every hour or two. I also found a free wireless hot spot at Moven Peak(MP) Shophouse branch. Therefore, if you are in Ipoh go to Moven Peak Shophouse branch and you will enjoy free WiFi and I would suggest your own electric generator because there are no 3-pin outlets for patrons.

Sunday had the ever famous Asam curry noodle and white coffee. For those who knows about Ipoh only for it’s “Bean Sprouts Chicken” or “Shredded Chicken Meat Keaw Teau Soup”, they are only hyped up by Ipoh migrants alike. I guess you have to taste to believe what I am saying here. Probably one day I can publish a picture of it along with a map and related information.

Summing up my weekend, I can say it’s pretty calm and lazy and I love that minus the nagging pitch of my mom’s voice. Other than that it was nice until I got an SMS from a colleague in KL claiming that I appear in newspaper The Edge. Yes that color printed ‘newspaper’ that cost RM5.00 per-copy. With all due respect for the photographer and the author for that article, they simply wrote the article. These fuckers put a picture of me with two other people in it and captioned it ridiculously. Seriously I find it paradoxical because it is not everyday I get to do a disgruntled stare towards a ‘dungu’ photographer who caught me when I was napping after lunch. Perhaps if I were still napping, would they have ever published that photo? Damn it, feel like digging a hole in the ground and stuck my head in it at times. Yeh! More productivity and efficiency after taking naps in between work and lunch hours.

Sweet Treat Experiment.

A verdict to the prototype ice cream by friends. They are both nice and creamy. Since they are free, I love them. However, the following questions may be prudent of me but may as well be beneficial likewise.

1) Would I pay for them?
2) If yes how much?
3) Given the amount I may fork out, would I go for Brand X or a well-known but similar taste ice cream?

I guess as long as they taste out of this world I don't mind. Remember out of this WORLD!!!

This can be an insane idea. Put something that can chemically increase the addiction (marijuna) perhaps or fusion it.

Bottom line is I was already impressed with the creamy-ness with this 'gelato'! Keep up the good work guys.

The Table Barbeque People... RUN!!!!!!!!

Taken in December 2001, MondayBluer and I sarcastically thought that the tag line was funny. Astonishingly last weekend when I was at The Causeway Point, Woodlands Singapore, the franchise still exists. I wonder how many people has their tables barbequed?

Just to let you know on something may not be relevant to the above subject. CIA estimates reveal Singapore population is to be 4.43million and they have more females there. Go here.

Excuses from a lethargic blogger from PJ

I have to back date my blog entries because it was actually written on that date but not publish due to one or many of the following excuses;
1) Tired.
2) No internet connection.
3) Internet too slow
4) Busy with work
5) I like to accumulate and ‘ejaculate’ at one go!

Change Skin!

Caught your attention didn't I? Well since I did not update this blog for over a week, I might as well change the entire blog's theme so that readers will definitely be sure I have updated this.

Should I stay or should I go.

For the past several weeks I have been contemplating on the logistics and viability of leaving to go my own. The rewards are tempting but it means double the effort, double the cunningness and more careful. Once solo, there is no safety net. If you fall, pain will be realistic. A must to gather the strength to catapult myself.

Culprit Identified

My subscription satellite TV was acting up for months. Paid for engineer to fix it but not effective. Tested the decoder unit at brother’s place and he said the clock should synchronize almost immediately after power up and mine doesn’t. Tested to use another decoder and it was fine. Therefore, it’s concluded that my decoder died.

Thanks to my new housemate the Cat and Cat GF.

We were not meant to be

The more I thought about it, the more I felt that the limitations set upon us human has it’s primary reason. It may be for that thought that spirals the possibility that it is to keep up here. It maybe imprisonment or some kind, I wonder? As we live on Earth, we are governed by natural laws such as gravity, life and death, the balance of energy and many more.

It prompted to me at some point that humans were meant to seek a different answers all together in this world. Sometimes even the question becomes unclear. Most seek external refuge in hope to understand the mystery of life on earth but others seek internal salvage.

While driving to work this morning, my mind wandered. Earthquakes happen when the Earth reshapes itself in a gentle sort of way. Compare to the violence on other inhospitable planets, Earth is like a sleeping baby. Does that mean we were not meant to live on high buildings? Human population growth pressures us to seek alternative to build high. However the trembles of the tectonic plates can wreck chaos and lives within. If we live in huts or caves would there be less life loss?

Humans were not meant to go in faster motion. Our body limit us to just 43.45kph in 100 meters sprint but average we are less than that number. However, we want to travel faster and the faster we go the greater the crash.

Probably we were also not meant to go to space but stay here down on earth because unforgiving natural laws of this planet and space can easily redeem the lives who attempted it. Perhaps we are not meant to construct civilize habitat because the civilization we create destroys the hands of mother earth that nurture us like pollution.

If we were not meant to be so and so, that prompts the question of why the hell are we doing here? For me it can be several of these reasons inspired from Hollywood and other sources.

1) We are here because some dude/alien/god is experimenting with us.
2) We are here because we are all convicts sent here for imprisonment. If you are good and die you will escape else if you were bad here on Earth, then you will re-incarnate.
3) We just like the show in Matrix.
4) We may be the descendents of the 13th Colony of Cobol.

Competition results out!

Sadly but expected. I didn’t win anything. At least I tried but I will never win free stuff legitimately. All the prizes I won came in a very indirect manner for instance, a competition with no participants.

I was in SG when it was announced. Expensively I SMSed so many dudes until I got CK to buy a copy on my behalf. Thank you CK. My sibling was unaccountable on this matter and talk about Astro.

Message to self, next time Malacca only has Sunday Mail. Weekdays no Malay Mail.

What fucking crap was that anyway?

Last weekend

I drove down to Singapore and back up. Here are 10 things for me to remember;

1) It’s easy to observe directions in Singapore

2) 10 days free VEP for only one entry.

3) GSS is Great Singapore Sale which Mondaybluer find not so great anymore.

4) Bukit Timah Rd is the backbone to get you in and out of the CBD.

5) Newton Circus has no clowns.

6) Sandy can be a name for a man.

7) Checkpoints are easy as long as you have registered your car before.

8) You can order sampler at Brewerkz.

9) Wonder Bra doesn’t seem to be that popular in Singapore as I noticed.

10) Orchard ERP will be on Saturdays.

If this is not a dog, what is it? Posted by Hello

Worth the price.

Today almost met an accident. I was driving through a SMARTag lane and for some reason the toll gate did not open eventhough it beeped. SMARTag lanes has sensing devices that detects an emitter for my cashcard.

This was my first incident which the freaking poll could have whack into my windscreen. However, for the 5th consecutive time, my car brakes saved me. Knowing this I feel that paying to fix or maintain a vehicle is worthwhile because in turn it can save you or your love ones.

In my neighbourhood, there are security officers hired to watch over the place. The residence will pay half yearly sum to fund them. Unfortunately, for us renting, do not believe their worth until an incident where these security officers came to the rescue. From that day onwards, we pay our share in realizing that it's worth the price to maintain an almost safe neighbourhood.

Some things are worth paying the sum because we will never know one day it will repay its dues like insurance. Have you got your insurance? If interested contact me. <> just kidding.
