A not so cool fridge.

Couple of months back I discovered something extraordinary with MondayBluer’s fridge. Her little Sanyo ‘Kevinator’ has the ability to make beer so cold that it does not freezes.

Especially after a hot afternoon drive with a cold chilled beer from that ‘Kevinator’, was simply priceless! After that I got hyper by fill it with different types of beer or beverages such as Hoegaarden, Heineken, Tiger and BerryClear Sprite Remix. Yes! BerryClear Sprite Remix is certainly a jolly carbonated drink, I recommend to everyone.

Having found the very secret formula to nicely chilled beer, I went about spreading the word to some buddies. Even MondayBluer was astonished after tasting freezing cool beer before she went to try it out herself. This time she tried it in her home with a slightly newer version ‘Kevinator’. She even called me and asked for tips. All I said was to put the bottles into the freezer and enjoy it later. Happily she organized a mahjong match with her colleagues, who coincidentally too from that little town of hers, and serve them beer. Ecstatically, everyone was served with frozen solid bottle of Heineken. I bet they all accepted the ice solid beer politely without questioning. Perhaps in their mind then thought that is how people in S2 drinks their beer.?

Anyway, MB may have been embarrassed a bit but certainly she has help busted a myth. The Kevinator we have here in our place is not as cool as the one at her hometown. It is and old fridge, so give it a break. Evidently this means that meat stored in this freezer can easily spoil and be hazardous to consume. Nevertheless, I can still get nice chilled drinks and screw the meat, I don’t cook.

I'm a slogger!

Without any reason, I wanted to have one word to describe myself as a slow blogger. Then I borrow a word called slogger. To makesure the word is genuine, I checked in google.com and answer.com. The results were not very definitive but it was mentioned in wikipedia as "Slog v. to social network and blog".

Anyway, I meant my turnover blog entries is slow which has it's logical reason. First, I blog for myself most of the time. In fact I enjoy re-reading my entries to spot grammatical mistakes. Hopefully gather enough personal time to correct them. Secondly, I realised my dependency on MS Word's dictionary has grown to a scale of addiction. My "England" as some may say, is kinda rusty to a point that with MS WORd every sentence reads better with a press of F7. Third, bored of revising my entries countless of times in order get the meaning perfect or across. Then I am rushing a project to complete before October ends. Lastly, I having too many pots a.k.a non profit tasks open at once, unable to focus 100% on one.

Now, I recently cut my hair. Yes! No more hair like Cousin Itt . However, it has someone became a big deal to many. The worst is people dumbly trying to strike up a conversation. Nevertheless, I would just entertain silly question like;

Scenario of someone greeting me;
SQ1 : Hey you cut your hair?
SA1 : Yes. (Can't you obviously see the difference?!!! Gosh!)

SQ2 : What happened?
SA2 : Yes, i cut my hair.

Normally these question are accompanied with the lazy one word question, why? Therefore, I will answer this like;
a) Bored with long hair
b) Too difficult to take care of it for like 2 years now.
c) I want a change.
d) Lost a big bet
e) Woke up one fine sunny Sunday morning, with no apparent reason or whatsoever, decided to chop 'it' off!
f) For charity, and Mondaybluer drops down lying on the floor with hands on stomach, rolling side to side and laughed.

Ok, these would be very likely a few of my reasons but nonetheless, reason number 'E' is quite apparent the most used.

The thing I noticed that most bloggers has at least an entry of their own version of hair cut stories. I bet they understood the attention generated especially a person changes his/her appearence. Imagine Kenny Sia doing the punk look or xiaxue going bald with 4 earrings on the left side of her ear. Gosh! these guys would make a million smackaroos.

Well back to my subject of me becoming a 'slogger'. Since it's plausible a word given the meaning I wanted to hold, I hope this gets used more widely as a
colloquial so that one day I get acknowledge as the first person to contribute the meaning of slogger. A dreamer's dream ...and dream on dreamer. D'oh!

The name 's Katrina

As I was reading the recent catastrophies in Pakistan, the name New Orleans caught my attention in small fonts. That reminds me also the tragedy in Bali. Normally from my lay-person's view, who ever discovers something like a piece of rock in space, he/she can name it after themselves. Therefore, here lies the question of who named this hurricane? Was it Katrina her/himself? Was Katrina suppose to be pronounce as Kata-Rina or Kurt-thrina? Since after the disaster, would anyone from the New Orleans or Florida name their new born Katrina? If it happens, will she be made fun of in school? Will she able to take that tease and live on? Could she freak out and start praying for the storm to come once more the sweep these bullies away?

I think it makes sense to name storms after human beings because it gives them a less hostile acceptance. Imagine naming Katrina as the Storm8811967 Category 5, which sounds very strict.
I urge everyone to start naming events like "The Bali Bombings II", "Paki-Afgan-Quake", "Hurricane Katrina" and etc etc.

When I am rich.

The same phrase that starts with when I am, usual sounds more like a dream. However, I plan to list it down to help remind myself of the things I can do that means more to me as a person than just a mere worker for a company.

My resignation is was sudden then but not now and yet management did not have the preparation to accept. Having the priority to retain accounts basically business revenue $$$$ but not realising the importance of resources with proper skills and experience.

Ok. Now when I am rich, I would want to;
1) Travel to Europe and experience the life there. Imagine Amsterdam or as jokingly revealed by a friend's friend Chezkoslovakia!

2) Explore the artistic creative side of myself. This may involve setting up a nice poshy studio and stuff it with equipments and invite photography students to hangout. Equipped with free internet access and a small bar. Invite only the elites like models, celebrities and VIPs to enjoy a surrounding of peace.

3) Perhaps marry and start a family in a global scale.

4) Ride.

5) Help others who wants to be help. It is a matter of choice for someone to need help and wants help.

Realizing this may be the first 5 dreams but it cannot stop there as long as I am alive! Yes! I want to be alive! Career and job security is the thing of the pass. I want to unshackle the chain, escape and live a LIFE as a human is suppose to be. If you read this article and dream the similar, do mail or call me because it's my fifth dream.
